This issue of DisplayTrends features news stories on large displays and on even larger microelectronic platforms.

We are pleased to have the viewpoints of two analysts who have not previously contributed to our newsletter. Neal Weinstock of Weinstock Media Analysis summarizes trends in the digital signage space, while Chris Chinook of Insight Media looks at the rear projection TV (RPTV) market. Both see expanded growth opportunities.

Don’t miss out on the opportunity to listen to WMA and Insight Media, at USDC’s 10th annual Display Industry Investment Conference, on March 15, 2005 at the Roosevelt Hotel in New York, N.Y. With more than 20 companies presenting, plus four analyst firms and an Innovation Corridor, it’s the most data intensive conference we have hosted.

For a glimpse of the future, take a look at the story on USDC’s recent contract award to Binghamton University. For those readers who are most familiar with wafers or plates being processed into ICs or FPDs, electronics by the yard is hard to imagine, but could soon become a reality!
