USDC Events

Throughout the year USDC hosts a number of display industry related events covering market and technology trends. The goal of these activities is to facilitate communication among the various industry constituencies in order to advance the overall display industry.

The events below describe the USDC events we currently have planned on an annual basis. We are always open to discuss new forums that would further our mission in the display industry.

INVESTMENT CONFERENCES

These conferences provide attendees with direct access to senior management of companies who are leading the display industry in the development of innovative display products and infrastructure.  The presenting companies represent every aspect of the display industry, from manufacturing tools and materials, to displays, software and key components.  These one-day events allow the participating companies an important forum to present their latest technological capabilites and business strategies to an audience of investment firms, brokerages, research houses and related financial institutions.

FLEXIBLE DISPLAYS & MICROELECTRONICS CONFERENCE

The annual Flexible Displays & Microelectronics Conference is held in Phoenix. This event has become the premiere US conference on these topics with over 350 attendees in 2007. A comprehensive overview of market applications and technology developments is presented by industry experts at this 3 day conference.

TECHNOLOGY WORKSHOPS

Technology workshops designed to reveal, highlight and discuss the needs of display manufacturers, suppliers and integrators in a highly-interactive, results based, public forum. By drawing together all of the stakeholders at one time and place, issues can be directly confronted and addressed by the participants. Frequently, a subsequent meeting will be scheduled in order to report on action items and consider other relevant topics. USDC hosts display systems technology workshops on an as-needed basis.

USDC MEMBER MEETINGS

Throughout the year, USDC holds member meetings to conduct company business. The Governing Board typically meets 4 times each year to review USDC business items and to give final approval on projects selected for funding by the Technical Council. The Technical Council typically meets 5 times per year to review project status and to downselect the techncial projects for funding in the coming year. The MAUG meets 4 times per year to review the results of projects from this industry group and to review projects for funding through the Technical Program.
